Join us for an exclusive  photographic safari in the Maasai Mara in Kenya! You don’t have to be a photographer to join the photo safari, just a love for wildlife. All are welcome, from complete beginners to experienced photographers.

We will observe family relationships and hunting behaviour. The longer time in the field will allow us to build a deeper understanding of wildlife behaviour and this will produce better photography and experiences in the field.

Itinerary

You will be looked after from the moment you arrive in Kenya to your return to the airport to fly home. The only thing you have to do is book your international flights to Nairobi and apply for your visa. We take care of everything else!

We will spend 1 night on arrival in Nairobi and then 8 days (7 nights) at MLIMA with a flexible approach to optimise time for photography. A typical safari day is highlighted below and we will spend the whole day out if needed to maximise opportunities to capture great wildlife images. We will focus our days on particular animals, including leopard, cheetah and lion, and will spend more time with individuals and family groups, to observe familial relationships and behaviour.

We will be a small group size of between 3 and 6 photographers, with a maximum of three people in each vehicle.

Deposit of US$ 1,900 / GBP£ 1,500 on booking, the remainder to be paid 60 days before departure.
 
What is included in the safari cost:

• consultation and call prior to your safari, with John Haskew, to run through preparations, kit and ensure you are ready to start photographing on arrival in the Maasai Mara
• Meeting on arrival at Nairobi and transfer to Crowne Plaza on the first night
• Bed and breakfast at the Crowne Plaza on the first night 
• Road transfers to and from Wilson Airport for flight to the Mara
• Air Kenya return flights to the Masai Mara 
• Airstrip transfers in the Mara to MLIMA
• Full board at MLIMA – 7 nights (8 days) 
• House wines, beers, local spirits and soft drinks at MLIMA
• Exclusive use of customised vehicle for photography and film making, with maximum three people per vehicle
• Laundry 
• Park fees

• Experienced, qualified local guide
• Road transfers from Wilson airport to Crowne Plaza for a meal prior to transfer to the airport for flight home (food and drink on the final evening is not included)  

Not included in the safari cost:

• International flights to Nairobi  (BA  flights  recommended if flying from the  UK)
• eTA (electronic travel authorisation) – cost US$ 34 / GBP£ 27)
• Personal travel and health insurance
