John Haskew – Founder & Director

John is a wildlife cinematographer and photographer and has filmed on natural history productions for BBC, Netflix, Apple, Disney and National Geographic, including Planet Earth 3 and Our Planet 2.

John has travelled across all the continents in search of wildlife, including Antarctica, the Arctic and on the summit of Everest. For him, nowhere beats the Mara.

John founded MLIMA in 2014 and uses it as a base for filming and photography. He understands what is needed to obtain the best wildlife photography and has opened MLIMA to photographic safaris since 2024.

MLIMA is run by a committed team to ensure you have a comfortable and relaxing experience and can dedicate all your energy to photography and time in the field.

Boniface is our House Manager, and he manages our team including Philip and Benson, our private Chefs, Leah, Leonard and William our housekeeping team.
