John Haskew – Founder & Director
John is a wildlife cinematographer and photographer who has filmed natural-history productions for the BBC, Netflix, Apple, Disney and National Geographic — including Planet Earth III and Our Planet II.
He has travelled across every continent in search of wildlife — including Antarctica, the Arctic and the summit of Everest. For him, nowhere beats the Mara.
John founded Mlima Mara in 2014 as a base for filming and photography, and opened it to photographic safaris in 2024.
